Half for myself and half for others.

Dear Readers and Fellow Central Texans,

After careful consideration, I’ve decided to make an important change to the content and cadence of this blog.

For some time now, I’ve been providing daily intelligence reporting covering national and global concerns—topics ranging from geopolitical developments to broader threats impacting our national security. While these issues remain critically important, the landscape of open-source intelligence has evolved dramatically. Today, there are numerous high-quality, accessible platforms and communities dedicated to tracking and analyzing global events in real time. Knowing that this broader mission is in capable hands, I no longer feel the need to duplicate those efforts here.

Instead, I want to redirect my energy toward something closer to home—something that directly affects us, our families, neighbors, and the place we call home: the State of Texas, with a particular emphasis on Central Texas.

Starting immediately:

  • I will be discontinuing the daily intelligence reporting on national and global concerns.
  • In its place, I will publish a weekly Area Intelligence Summary (INTSUM) focused exclusively on Texas-state and Central Texas-local developments that matter to our preparedness, security, and community resilience.

These weekly INTSUM reports will be released every Thursday, unless a holiday falls on that day—in which case the report will shift to Friday.

My goal with this new format is simple: to provide concise, actionable, and locally relevant summaries that help us stay informed about issues in our own backyard—whether that’s state policy changes, regional weather threats, infrastructure updates, public safety trends, or community-level preparedness opportunities.

I believe this focused approach will allow for deeper, more meaningful coverage of the topics that hit closest to home, while freeing us all from the noise of constant global updates.

Thank you for your continued readership and support. I’m excited about this next chapter and look forward to delivering useful, Texas-centric insights each week.

Stay aware, stay prepared, and take care of one another.

— VeteranJaime, Central Texas

The first Area Intelligence Summary (INTSUM) will drop this Thursday (or Friday if needed).
